What is a stainless steel box section?

Box section is a square or rectangular piece of metal with a hollow centre. Due to being hollow it tends to be fairly lightweight yet rigid, which makes it good for a number of different applications.

Box section sizes

We offer stainless steel box sections in range of dimensions. Sizes start at 20mm x 20mm and go up to 100mm x 100mm. Levels of wall thickness range from approx 1.2mm to 5.0mm.

The standard length of a stainless steel rectangular tube is around 6m, but you can use our Custom Cut page to choose your exact requirement.

What grades are available?

Our box sections come in grade 304 which is the common grade used for catering equipment and shop fitting. It has a high nickel and chromium content, which means it’s very resistant to corrosion and oxidisation. Easy to clean, our sections come in a Satin Polished finish.
